Verniers are excellent tools for quickly checking the thickness of stock, and sometimes it isn't necessary to have them read accurately to the hundredth of a millimetre.

Enter the plastic calipers. Small, simple, light and easy to ready, these are dead handy for checking on progress when milling timber down to final thickness, or even checking the interiors and depth of mortices without having to lie your head flat on the table to read a ruler.

The plastic jaws of these polycarbonate pairs will also not mark your timber as you dial it in for the perfect fit.
